Policies / House Rules are considered part of our reservation agreement with you. As our guest, and as upon your check-in, you are agreeing to abide by ALL our Policies / House Rules, terms and conditions, and procedures. The Management of Gorukana Eco Wellness Centre would greatly appreciate your co-operation in abiding the following, as we value each of our guest’s safety and enjoyment.

  • BR TIGER RESERVE: Please abide by the reserve forest rules and norms. Entry is allowed between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. Guests are requested to plan their travel accordingly, as we are unable to influence any situations arising outside these hours.
  • APPROACH ROAD: The 300-meter approach road to Gorukana is rough terrain and may become slippery during the monsoon season.
  • FRONT DESK: There is no 24-hour front desk. Front desk hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • AYURVEDIC WELLNESS CENTRE: Open 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Please book appointments at the reception.
  • TRIBAL CULTURAL PROGRAM: Organized to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of the Soliga tribal community. Terms and conditions apply. (minimum of 10 guests required)
  • NO TV, WI-FI, OR INTERCOM: To maintain the tranquillity of the environment, there are no TVs, Wi-Fi, or intercom facilities in the guest rooms.
  • NO AC: Only fans are provided in all guest rooms. Temperatures on a summer afternoon are moderate to warm.
  • MOBILE CONNECTIVITY: The property has limited network coverage. Airtel and Jio have good coverage.
  • Wi-Fi ACCESS: Wi-Fi is available only in the reception area, subject to network availability.
  • FOREST SAFARI at K.GUDI: Safaris are conducted by Forest Department for a fee. We do not handle safari bookings. Timings: 07:00 am to 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Drive to K.Gudi (18 km, 40 mins) and back in guest own vehicles.
  • NATURAL ECOSYSTEM: Our accommodations are nestled in a vibrant ecosystem, which means you may encounter spiders, lizards and insects in your rooms and bathrooms. While we take steps to minimize their presence, we encourage you to embrace the charm and beauty of nature, understanding that these creatures play a vital role in the local ecosystem.
  • SAFETY NOTICE: Management is not liable for any accidents or incidents that may occur during your stay. We kindly ask that you ensure a safe and responsible holiday.

CHECK-IN TIME: 01:00 PM
EARLY CHECK-IN: Early check-in is offered based on availability and on prior request. If you require a guaranteed early check-in, then pre-registration and payment are required.
Guaranteed Early Check In fees:
• Arrival between 06:00 PM – 09:00 PM – 50% of room tariff
• Arrival between 09:00 PM – 12:00 PM – 25% of room tariff

CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS: Guests must be at least 18 years of age to check in at Gorukana. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests to provide their valid government issued photo identification (Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card and/or Passport) in physical copy at check-in. Pan card is not considered as a valid photo identity. Passport & Visa mandatory for foreign nationals.

GUEST PROFILE: Groups with only male guest are not allow ed at this property.
PAYMENT: We require payment for the full amount of your intended stay, plus tax 3 days prior to your arrival for confirmed reservations. For the group bookings, payment for the confirmed reservation is required 7 days prior to arrival.

CHECK-OUT TIME: 11:00 AM
LATE CHECK-OUT: Late check-outs are subject to availability, and may be chargeable. If you would like to request for a later check-out time, please inform Front Desk by 10:00AM on the date of check-out. Delayed departures without intimation and/or approval shall incur a penalty fee of Rs.1500/- per room.
Guaranteed Late Check Out fees:
• Departure between 12:00 PM – 03:00 PM – 25% of room tariff
• Departure between 03:00 PM – 06:00 PM – 50% of room tariff
• Departure after 06:00 PM – 100% of room tariff
CHILDREN: children aged under 5 years stays complimentary with their parents (without extra bed). Children between 5 to 12 years of age will be charged as per child tariff rate. For safety reasons, please do not leave children unattended in guest rooms or allow them to roam the property unsupervised.

Gorukana is not responsible for weather conditions, personal emergencies, or schedule changes. Confirmed bookings may be altered or cancelled if intimation in writing reaches the organization as per the following terms:

CANCELLATION FEE applies on the full value of the booking and only Credit Vouchers are issued for the balance amount, valid for 3 months
   • Free for 15 days prior to check-in
   • 20% – for cancelation request between 14 to 7 days prior to check-in
   • 50% – for cancelation request between 7 to 3 days prior to check-in
   • 100% – for cancellation request within 3 days (72 hrs) to check in or No Show
One Postponement is free if requested prior of 7 days to check-in (no further changes or cancellation).
   • 50% – if requested between 48 hours to 72 hours to check-in
   • No modification, if requested within 48 hours to check-in
Credit Voucher Utilization: If the guest is unable to use the Credit Voucher by within given period, the Credit Voucher amount shall not be refunded.
Refunds: In case of refund, it will be processed within 15 working days from the date of receipt of bank account details from the customer. Card transaction or processing fees if any will be deducted from the refund amount

NIGHT QUIET HOURS: 10:00PM to 06:00AM. If you become aware of a disruptive guest, please contact our staff immediately by phone or in person.

PATHWAYS LIGHTS: Pathways are dimly lit and are switched off at 10:00 PM to reduce the impact of night pollution on wildlife and ecosystem.

NO IN-ROOM PARTY: We enforce a strict No In-Room Party Policy to ensure we can protect our guests at all times. No parties, loud disturbances and/or noise-nuisance are allowed or tolerated on the property. In the event of a disturbance, one polite request (warning) will be given to reduce the noise. If our request is not followed, the guest will be asked to leave the property without refund.

NO SMOKING POLICY: Gorukana is 100% Smoke-Free Eco Wellness centre. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms, balconies and public area. Parking area is only the designated as smoking zone.

NO ALCOHOL POLICY: Gorukana has a strict No-Alcohol Policy. Alcohol is prohibited in all public areas.

NO SUBSTANCE ABUSE: Anyone found using or under the influence of illegal drugs or substances classified under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 will be reported to police and asked to leave the property. Any evidence or suspicion of drug use on the premises shall also be reported to police.

NO PETS: PETS ARE STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED

DINING FACILITY: All meals are served at the Oota Da Mane (Dining Hall) during the scheduled timings only.

• Buffet service only, no room service. Do Not carry food from dining hall to rooms or other places.
• A La Carte menu not available.
• Outside food strictly not allowed.
• Lunch service will not be not available after 03:00 PM. Please plan your arrival accordingly.

POWER: Due to the remote location of the property, power restorations are usually delayed. Generator timings: 06:00AM to 10:00AM and 05:30 PM to 10:00 PM. However, all rooms are equipped with inverter bulb.

SINGLE-USE PLASTIC FREE: As part of our commitment to reducing environmental impact, we avoid the use of single-use plastics, including but not limited to packaged water bottles and disposable amenities.

NO INDIVIDUAL TIPPING POLICY: Please do not tip the staff individually. We have provided a TIP BOX at the Reception to enable you to show your appreciation for all our staff. The amount collected is distributed equally among the entire staff.

GUEST’S BELONGINGS: The Management will not in any way whatsoever be responsible for any loss/or damage to the Guest’s belongings or any other property from either the guest room or any other part of the facility for any cause whatsoever including theft of pilferage.

PARKING AT OWN RISK: On-site self-parking is provided, solely at the risk of the owner. Management shall not assume liability or responsibility for any vehicle, occupants, or contents while operated or parked on property.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: Any damage to the property howsoever caused (whether by deliberate, negligent, or reckless act), is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular room. Damages will be charged at 150% of full and new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges, for the special cleaning, repair or replacement of the damaged article.

VISITORS: Visitors must notify Front Desk upon their arrival and provide a government approved photo identity. Visitors are not permitted in the rooms, but can meet the guest in reception. No visitors after 6:00PM.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES: Daily housekeeping services are provided between 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

LINEN CHANGING: Your comfort is very important to us. For guests staying multiples nights, bed linen is changed every alternate day. Used towels are exchanged for fresh towels daily. Please contact our Front Desk staff if you have any additional questions or concerns.

COOKING, COOKING APPLIANCES, COMBUSTIBLES, OR FIREWORKS: The safety of our guests, staff, and this facility is extremely important to us. Preparation of food in guest rooms by any type of cooking appliances is prohibited. Open fires, flames or cooking grills, either charcoal or gas, and fireworks are not allowed anywhere on the property.

COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND DRONE USAGE: To maintain the privacy of our guests and preserve the tranquil atmosphere of the property, commercial photography and drone usage are strictly prohibited without prior authorization from Management.

ENFORCEMENT: All staff are trained and required to respond to potential violations of our Management Policy / House Rules. Guests who refuse to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by Gorukana Management for safety of all guests, staff, owners, property, and the operation and management of the Eco Wellness Centre will be evicted, with no refund. Additionally, a penalty fee of Rs 1500/- per room will be charged for infraction(s) of our Management Policy / House Rules. The fee collected shall be used for green initiatives on the property.
The Management has a zero-tolerance policy, with which they will refuse service or accommodation or may remove a person who while on the premises acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner, destroys or threatens to destroy property, or causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance; or refuses or is unable to pay for the accommodations or services.

The management reserves the right itself TO ADD, OR ALTER OR AMEND ANY OF THE ABOVE POLICY TERMS, CONDITIONS AND RULES at any point of time without prior notice.

Gorukana Ayurvedic Wellness Centre is an integral part of our social enterprise initiative, dedicated to empowering the local Soliga community. Our Ayurvedic therapies are fairly priced, ensuring accessibility without compromising on quality. We do not offer additional discounts, as every payment directly supports  our mission and contributes to sustainable community development.

Appointments

  • Ayurveda Therapy Bookings: Please schedule your Ayurvedic therapy appointment at the front office upon arrival.
  • Payments: Confirm your appointment with full payment at the front office upon arrival.
  • Appointment Hours: Appointments are available from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Early Moring Appointments: For appointments between 7:30 – 9:00 AM, bookings must be scheduled before 6 PM the evening before.
  • Scheduling Limitation: Appointments are managed on a first-come, first-booked basis. To ensure your preferred time slot, we kindly request that you book your appointment at the front office upon arrival. Appointments cannot be scheduled after your check-out time.
  • No Cancellations: Once confirmed, appointments cannot be cancelled.

Rescheduling

  • General Policy: A 3-hour notice is required for rescheduling, subject to availability. Rescheduling is permitted once.
  • Early Morning Appointments: For appointments between 7:30 – 9:00 AM, rescheduling requests must be made by 6 PM the evening before.

Ayurvedic Wellness Centre Etiquette

  • Tranquillity: Please switch off mobile phones and keep conversations at a low volume.
  • Appointment time: Please arrive at the Ayurvedic Wellness Centre, 10 minutes prior to your appointment for Prakruti self-assessment and Ayurvedic oil recommendations.
  • Age Restriction: Guests under 16 years old are not eligible for Ayurvedic therapies.
  • Special Conditions: Full body therapies are not offered to pregnant or menstruating women. Guests with high blood pressure, heart conditions, or other medical issues should consult their doctor before receiving therapies and inform their therapist of any medical conditions.
  • Liability: Therapy is undertaken at your own risk. While we implement strict safety measures, we are not liable for any incidents that may occur.
  • Personal Belongings: For your convenience and to ensure a safe and comfortable experience, please leave your personal belongings and jewellery in your room.

Late Arrival Policy

  • General Policy: If you arrive late, for your scheduled appointment, we will do our best to endeavour to accommodate you. However, your treatment time may be shortened to avoid any inconvenience to the next guest’s appointment.
  • 30-minute session: Arrivals more than 10 minutes late without any prior notice, as specified above, will be marked as a no-show
  • 60-minutes or longer session: Arrivals more than 20 minutes late without any prior notice, as specified above, will be marked as a no-show.

Treatment Details

  • Treatment Time: Most treatments include a 5-minute pre-therapy and post-therapy ritual. Full-body treatments include 10 minutes for showering.
  • Gender Policy: No cross-gender treatments are offered.
