Policies / House Rules are considered part of our reservation agreement with you. As our guest, and as upon your check-in, you are agreeing to abide by ALL our Policies / House Rules, terms and conditions, and procedures. The Management of Gorukana Eco Wellness Centre would greatly appreciate your co-operation in abiding the following, as we value each of our guest’s safety and enjoyment.

ARRIVAL & ACCESS

  • BRT TIGER RESERVE: Please adhere to reserve forest regulations. Entry is permitted only between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Guests are requested to plan their travel accordingly, as we are unable to assist with situations arising outside these hours.
  • APPROACH ROAD: The 300-meter approach road to Gorukana is rough terrain and may become slippery during the monsoon season.
  • PROPERTY ACCESSIBILITY: Pathways within the property are sloped and rugged, and may be challenging for senior citizens or guests with mobility concerns.

GUEST SERVICES & FACILITY TIMINGS

  • FRONT DESK: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • AYURVEDIC WELLNESS CENTRE: Appointments must be booked at the Front Office.
    • Saturdays : 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
    • Weekdays: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • DINING HALL (Oota Da Mane)
    • Lunch: 1:30 PM – 2:45 PM  (service ends at 3:00 PM — kindly plan your arrival accordingly).
    • Dinner: 8:15 PM – 9:30 PM
    • Breakfast: 8:30 AM – 9:45 AM 

CONNECTIVITY & FACILITIES

  • NO AC: Rooms have ceiling fans only.
  • NO TV, WI-FI, OR INTERCOM in ROOMS: We encourage digital detox and tranquility.
  • LIMITED MOBILE CONNECTIVITY: Airtel and Jio provide relatively better signal.
  • Wi-Fi ACCESS: Available in the reception area only, subject to network availability.
  • POWER BACKUP: Power restoration may be delayed due to our remote location. Generator runs from 6:00 – 10:00 AM and 6:00 – 10:00 PM. Inverter bulbs are provided in all rooms

NATURAL ECOSYSYTEM NOTICE

Our rooms are non-AC and built with natural materials, thoughtfully designed to blend into the forest. Due to their eco-sensitive design, small structural gaps may exist. While we maintain high standards of cleanliness, you may occasionally encounter insects, frogs, lizards, or spiders — these are a natural part of the surroundings and not signs of infestation. To preserve ecological balance, we avoid the use of chemical pest control.

SAFETY NOTICE

Gorukana Eco Wellness Centre is located in a natural setting. Please exercise caution, supervise children, and be mindful of uneven terrain, water bodies and wildlife. The Centre is not liable for accidents due to negligence. We kindly ask that you ensure a safe and responsible holiday.

 ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIREMENT: All stay bookings must be made at least one day in advance. We do not accept same-day bookings to ensure a well-prepared and seamless experience for all guests.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION: A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment of the total stay amount, including applicable taxes. For group bookings, 100% payment is required 15 days prior to arrival.

CHECK-IN TIME: 01:00 PM

EARLY CHECK-IN: Early check-in is offered based on availability and on prior request. If you require a guaranteed early check-in, then pre-registration and payment are required.

Guaranteed Early Check In fees:
• Arrival between 06:00 PM – 09:00 PM – 50% of room tariff
• Arrival between 09:00 PM – 12:00 PM – 30% of room tariff

CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS: Guests must be at least 18 years of age to check in at Gorukana. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests to provide their valid government issued photo identification (Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card and/or Passport) in physical copy at check-in. Pan card is not considered as a valid photo identity. Passport & Visa mandatory for foreign nationals.

GUEST PROFILE: Groups with only male guest are not allow ed at this property.

CHECK-OUT TIME: 11:00 AM

LATE CHECK-OUT: Late check-outs are subject to availability, and may be chargeable. If you would like to request for a later check-out time, please inform Front Desk by 10:00AM on the date of check-out. Delayed departures without intimation and/or approval shall incur a penalty fee of Rs.1500/- per room.

Guaranteed Late Check Out fees:
• Departure between 12:00 PM – 03:00 PM – 30% of room tariff
• Departure between 03:00 PM – 06:00 PM – 50% of room tariff
• Departure after 06:00 PM – 100% of room tariff

CHILDREN POLICY: Children aged under 5 years stays complimentary with their parents (without extra bed). Children between 5 to 12 years of age will be charged as per child tariff rate. 12 years and above are considered adults, and extra adult charges will be applicable. Identity Proof Mandatory.

RATE POLICY: Gorukana applies different rates based on the day and season:

    • Weekday Rates: Sunday to Thursday
    • Weekend Rates: Friday, Saturday and Public holidays
    • Seasonal Holiday Rates: Peak seasons and long holiday periods.
  • GST: All rates are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as per applicable Indian government regulations.
  • Rates may change without prior notice except for confirmed bookings.
  • Additional charges apply for extra guests according to the applicable rates.

 

Gorukana is not responsible for weather conditions, personal emergencies, or changes in your schedule.

GENERAL TERMS:

  • Cancellation fees are calculated on the full booking value.
  • Confirmed bookings can only be cancelled or altered if we receive written intimation as per the terms below

REFUNDS:

  • A refund is issued only if the cancellation request is received within the free cancellation window.
  • Refunds are processed within 15 working days after receiving complete bank details.
  • Bank/card processing fees will be deducted from the refund amount.
  • No refunds are issued for cancellations made after the free cancellation window, no-shows, expired Credit Vouchers, or last-minute postponement requests.

CREDIT VOUCHERS:

  • Issued only when the cancellation is outside the free cancellation window but still within the allowed cancellation period.
  • Value: Full booking amount minus applicable cancellation/postponement fees.
  • Validity: 3 months from the date of issue.
  • Non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • Forfeited if unused after expiry.

1.  INDIVIDUAL BOOKINGS:

Cancellations

  • Free if cancelled 10 days or more before check-in.
  • 20% cancellation fee if cancelled 3–10 days before check-in, remaining is issued as a Credit Voucher.
  • 100% cancellation fee if cancelled within 3 days of check-in or in case of no-show.

Postponements

  • One complimentary date change if requested at least 5 days before check-in.
    (After the first change, no further changes or cancellations are allowed.)
  • 10% postponement fee if requested 3–5 days before check-in.
  • Not allowed if requested within 3 days of check-in.
  • New stay date must be within 3 months of the original booking, subject to availability.
  • The rate applicable on the new stay date will apply.

2.  GROUP BOOKINGS (4+ Rooms):

Cancellations

  • Free if cancelled 15 days or more before check-in.
  • 25% cancellation fee if cancelled 7–15 days before check-in, remaining is issued as a Credit Voucher.
  • 100% cancellation fee if cancelled within 7 days of check-in or in case of no-show.

Postponements

  • 15% postponement fee if requested 7–10 days before check-in.
  • Not allowed if requested within 7 days of check-in.
  • New stay date must be within 3 months of the original booking, subject to availability.
  • The rate applicable on the new stay date will apply.

PEAK SEASON POLICY:

  • Free cancellation allowed only if requested 15 days or more prior to check-in.
  • 30% cancellation fee applies if cancelled 10 to 15 days before check-in, remaining is issued as a Credit Voucher.
  • 100% cancellation fee applies if cancelled within 10 days of check-in.
  • No postponements allowed during peak season.

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • NO SMOKING POLICY: Gorukana is 100% Smoke-Free Eco Wellness Centre. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms, balconies and public area. Parking area is only the designated as smoking zone.
  • NO ALCOHOL POLICY: Gorukana Eco Wellness Centre maintains a strict No Alcohol Policy in line with our commitment to wellness and community values. possession, consumption, or use of alcohol is strictly prohibited in all guest rooms and public areas of the property. Guests under the influence of alcohol  will also be considered in violation of this policy.
  • NO SUBSTANCE ABUSE: Anyone found using or under the influence of illegal drugs or substances classified under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 will be reported to police and asked to leave the property. Any evidence or suspicion of drug use on the premises shall also be reported to police.
  • Any violation will result in a fine of ₹1,500 per room and/or immediate termination of stay without refund.

QUITE HOURS & NOISE

  • NO IN-ROOM PARTY: Parties, loud disturbances, or noise nuisances are prohibited. In the event of a disturbance, one polite request (warning) will be given to reduce the noise. Continued disturbance may result in eviction without refund.
  • NIGHT QUIET HOURS: 10:00PM to 06:00AM. Guests are requested to maintain silence. Report disturbances to staff immediately.
  • PATHWAYS LIGHTS: Pathways are dimly lit and are switched off at 10:00 PM to reduce the impact of night pollution and protect wildlife.
  • PROPERTY GATE: Closed from 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM; guests are requested to plan their comings and goings accordingly.

DINING GUIDELINES

  • Buffet service only; no room service or à la carte menu.
  • Outside food is strictly prohibited.
  • Do not carry food from dining hall to rooms or other areas.

NO PETS

  • PETS ARE STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED

SUSTAINABILITY & ECO PRACTICES

  • Gorukana is single-use plastic-free. Guests are encouraged to minimize waste and respect the natural environment.
  • we avoid the use of single-use plastics, including but not limited to packaged water bottles and disposable amenities.

COOKING & FIRE HAZARDS

  • Preparation of food in guest rooms by any type of cooking appliances is prohibited.
  • Open fires, flames or cooking grills, either charcoal or gas, and fireworks are not allowed anywhere on the property.

PHOTOGRAPHY & DRONE

  • Commercial photography and drone usage are strictly prohibited without prior authorization from Management.

TIPPING POLICY

  • Please do not tip staff individually; use the Tip Box at Reception.
  • Amount collected is shared equally among all staff.

ENFORCEMENT

  • All staff are trained and required to respond to potential violations of our Management Policy / House Rules.
  • Guests who refuse to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by Gorukana Management for safety of all guests, staff, owners, property, and the operation and management of the Eco Wellness Centre will be evicted, with no refund.
  • The Management has a zero-tolerance policy, with which they will refuse service or accommodation or may remove a person who while on the premises acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner, destroys or threatens to destroy property, or causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance; or refuses or is unable to pay for the accommodations or services.

BELONGINGS & LIABILITY

  • GUEST’S BELONGINGS: The Management will not in any way whatsoever be responsible for any loss/or damage to the Guest’s belongings or any other property from either the guest room or any other part of the facility for any cause whatsoever including theft of pilferage.
  • PARKING AT OWN RISK: On-site self-parking is provided, solely at the risk of the owner. Management shall not assume liability or responsibility for any vehicle, occupants, or contents while operated or parked on property.
  • DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: Any damage to the property howsoever caused (whether by deliberate, negligent, or reckless act), is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular room. Damages will be charged at 150% of full and new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges, for the special cleaning, repair or replacement of the damaged article.

VISITORS

  • Must register at Front Desk with government-issued ID.
  •  Visitors are not permitted in the rooms, but can meet the guest in reception.
  • No visitors after 6:00PM.

HOUSEKEEPING & LINEN

  • Housekeeping: Daily 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Linen & Towels: Bed linen changed every alternate day; towels replaced daily. Additional requests via Front Desk.

LIABILITY & FORCE MAJEURE

Gorukana shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, compensation, or expenses arising from failure or delay in performing our obligations due to force majeure or any events beyond our reasonable control. Such events include, but are not limited to, natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, extreme weather), epidemics or pandemics, acts of terrorism, fire, utility service failures, machinery breakdowns, or structural damages

VIOLATIONS & CONSEQUENCES

  • Smoking & Alcohol: A fine of ₹1,500 per room will be applied, and all services may be suspended until payment is made.
  • Repeated Violations: The fine will be ₹3,000, and all services will be terminated immediately, with the guest potentially required to check out at 6:00 AM.
  • Other Policy Violations: May result in immediate eviction at management discretion

POLICY AMENDMENTS

  • The management reserves the right itself TO ADD, OR ALTER OR AMEND ANY OF THE ABOVE POLICY TERMS, CONDITIONS AND RULES at any point of time without prior notice.

Gorukana Ayurvedic Wellness Centre is an integral part of our social enterprise initiative, dedicated to empowering the local Soliga community. Our Ayurvedic therapies are fairly priced, ensuring accessibility without compromising on quality. We do not offer additional discounts, as every payment directly supports  our mission and contributes to sustainable community development.

Appointments

  • Ayurveda Therapy Bookings: Please schedule your Ayurvedic therapy appointment at the front office upon arrival.
  • Payments: Confirm your appointment with full payment at the front office upon arrival.
  • Appointment Hours: Appointments are available from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Early Moring Appointments: For appointments between 7:30 – 9:00 AM, bookings must be scheduled before 6 PM the evening before.
  • Scheduling Limitation: Appointments are managed on a first-booked, first-confirmed basis. To ensure your preferred time slot, we kindly request that you book your appointment at the front office upon arrival. Appointments cannot be scheduled after your check-out time.
  • No Cancellations: Once confirmed, appointments cannot be cancelled.

Rescheduling

  • General Policy: A 3-hour notice is required for rescheduling, subject to availability. Rescheduling is permitted once.
  • Early Morning Appointments: For appointments between 7:30 – 9:00 AM, rescheduling requests must be made by 6 PM the evening before.

Ayurvedic Wellness Centre Etiquette

  • Tranquillity: Please switch off mobile phones and keep conversations at a low volume.
  • Appointment time: Please arrive at the Ayurvedic Wellness Centre, 10 minutes prior to your appointment for Prakruti self-assessment and Ayurvedic oil recommendations.
  • Age Restriction: Guests under 16 years old are not eligible for Ayurvedic therapies.
  • Special Conditions: Full body therapies are not offered to pregnant or menstruating women. Guests with high blood pressure, heart conditions, or other medical issues should consult their doctor before receiving therapies and inform their therapist of any medical conditions.
  • Liability: Therapy is undertaken at your own risk. While we implement strict safety measures, we are not liable for any incidents that may occur.
  • Personal Belongings: For your convenience and to ensure a safe and comfortable experience, please leave your personal belongings and jewellery in your room.

Late Arrival Policy

  • General Policy: If you arrive late, for your scheduled appointment, we will do our best to endeavour to accommodate you. However, your treatment time may be shortened to avoid any inconvenience to the next guest’s appointment.
  • 30-minute session: Arrivals more than 10 minutes late without any prior notice, as specified above, will be marked as a no-show
  • 60-minutes or longer session: Arrivals more than 20 minutes late without any prior notice, as specified above, will be marked as a no-show.

Treatment Details

  • Treatment Time: Most treatments include a 5-minute pre-therapy and post-therapy ritual. Full-body treatments include 10 minutes for showering.
  • Gender Policy: No cross-gender treatments are offered.
